Around Medvode

This is a nice and very diverse MTB tour across the hills between Medvode and Škofja Loka. The ascents are quite difficult whereas the descents are fabulous. The tour has 2 summits: the panoramic St. Jakob hill and the wooded Gontarska Planina. Almost the whole time you will ride in a shady forest with occasional views on Ljubljana basin and surrounding hills.

Starting point:
The tour starts and finishes in Preska near Medvode (in the suburbs of Ljubljana). On the road 'Ljubljana – Medvode' turn left at a traffic light at the beginning of Medvode. Cross the railway and turn right. At the next crossroads turn left and continue until you come to a primary school Preska. Park there.
