Hiša Sonca (= House of the Sun) is divided in two parts. On the upper, wooden floor, where they used to store hay, carts and tools and used to sleep as well, you can now find the owner's apartment. On the ground floor, which is made of stone, the guests are greeted by a wonderful apartment renovated in the 18th century style. The exterior walls are 60 cm thick, which is best seen at the small arched windows. The door, the wooden floor, the old stove and the furniture take us all ‘200 years back’, but the apartment still offers all the comforts of the modern times.
There are two beds in the central living room and a double bed in the master's room. The kitchen is now more modern and contains unique ceramic mosaics, which were created by the owners. To keep you connected with the outside world there is wireless internet available, and for a better connection with yourself, enjoy one of the massage therapies - another speciality of the house.
In the sunny village, with breathtaking views of the highest mountain in the Karavanke mountain chain – Stol, you can also learn many manual skills. The ingenious owners offer workshops of assembling mosaics, knitting baskets from willow and hand knitting basics. On top of that, they create jewellery from natural materials and other products from glass and ceramics.
A wonderful place for a break in nature, far away from the 'hustle and bustle' of everyday life.
